Woke up the next day morning and had uttappam(yes.you read it right)!!!! for breakfast in some smalltime hotel.
First destination was the Raja Man singh????? palace. There was the world's largest steel pot and also a thunderbird.I managed to take a pic with the beauty. This was the prefect place to take pics. And some guys made sure they got the most out of it.I wont be surprised to see these guys come out with their matrimonials!!!!!!
Next on the list was the Jantar Mantar which is a stone's throw away from the palace. We hired the services of a guide who described to us the methodology of usage of the instruments. The level of advancement of the ancient indian civilization never ceases to amaze me.
Did some petty shopping after this. And from here we were off to a fort on the hills. The drive was breathtaking with all the sharp turns and the clouds. We had our lunch at a restaurant just outside the fort. This was run by the former royal chef who is now 95.The food was delicious but it couldve been better. After this was a visit to the museum in the fort. This held guns and cannons of all shapes and sizes. After this was the tour of the fort. There were many paths inside the fort.Totally confusing for a guy like me who has no bearing sense. And it did offer many breathtaking views. The central garden which was the masterpiece was closed to the public though.A lotsa pics were taken here. The best one was the firing squad one which i will post soon.
And then it was a loooong 5hr trip back to delhi. We stopped at the state border for having something for dinner. We reached the hostel at around 11:30 in the night.
It was a memorable trip which became all the more exciting because we were always constrained for time and had to be on our toes.Another extra day wouldve made it boring. And no.Im not turning into some typr of a dilbert style management zombie!!!!!!
